January 6-14, 2012 - 2012 Port Macquarie 28th Golden Lure Tournament

Proudly brought to you by Port Macquarie Game Fishing Club Inc. and sponsored by Blue Water Legal, this annual tournament is in its 28th year. This nine day event takes place in the beautiful waters of Greater Port Macquarie and includes the Tammy Kirkby Memorial Charity Day. Event Website

January 14-21, 2012 -11th Pacific Coast Slam

The 11th Pacific Coast Slam tips off on Saturday 14th January, at the Port Macquarie Sports Stadium. Teams come from all over Australia - NSW Country, NSW Metropolitan, VIC Country, SA, Queensland, North Coast All Stars and New Zealand. Event Website

February 25-26, 2012 - 2012 Mastercraft-Headzone Australian Open Waterski Titles

Australia’s "cream of the crop" slalom, trick and jump skiers are vying for the title as well as competitors from around the world including Japan, USA, England and New Zealand. Gates open 7am with the tournament start at 8am on Saturday, and wrap up Sunday afternoon. Event Website

March 8-11, 2012 - 2012 X-Blades National Touch League

The 2012 X-Blades National Touch League will be held in Port Macquarie. The venue for the events will be the Port Macquarie Regional Stadium and Tuffins Lane Precinct. This event will see more than 4,000 players, support personnel, family and friends visiting the area for the competition. Event Website

May 6, 2012 -  2012 Ironman Australia Triathlon Port Macquarie

Port Macquarie provides one of the most stunning Ironman courses in the world for the 2012 Ironman Australia event. Over 1,500 hardworking competitors are involved in this event, which covers a 3.8km swim in the Hastings River, a 180km cycle along the Pacific Ocean, and a 42.2km run through the city centre. May 28, 2012 to June 1, 2012 - NSW Women’s Bowling Association 83rd State Carnival

With almost 1700 bowlers descending on the Hastings for five days, Port Macquarie is looking forward to showcasing all that our beautiful region has to offer. Three days play: Monday 28th May, Tuesday 29th May, and Wednesday 30th May. Two games of 18 ends each day. Come down and watch these skillful women bowlers. Semi-Final and Final on Friday 1st June. April 14-21, 2012 - Port Macquarie Festival of Bodyboarding

The International Bodyboarding Association is bringing the excitement of their rapidly expanding sport to Port Macquarie with the International Bodyboarding Championships. With the 25th Anniversary of the Port Macquarie Team’s Challenge through to a mix of international Bodyboarding action, this eight-day event creates the Port Macquarie Festival of Bodyboarding. June 17-July 1, 2012 - NSW Longboard Titles 2012

Port Macquarie's luscious beaches play host once again to the Longboard titles for NSW in 2012. More than 200 competitors will take part in the event, across 13 divisions. Surfers come from up and down the NSW coast and compete for a spot in the NSW team to contest the Australian titles in Port Macquarie in August. Event Website

July 28-29, 2012 - Australian Formula Powerboat Grand Prix

Formula powerboat racing is an extreme sport that is both fast and colourful. Explosive starts, hairpin turns and high speed passing maneuvers provide continuous action and excitement for spectators of all ages. August 11-25, 2012 - Australian Surf Festival

The Australian Surf Titles have been held since 1964, the longest running surf event in Australia. The Australian Surf Festival combines the Australian Longboard Titles, the Australian Surfmasters Titles and the Australian Stand Up Paddle Titles expanding into a unique celebration of the Australian surf lifestyle.
